The  Jackals are committed to helping players further their education through hockey.  Our Program is in constant communication with the NCAA and CIAU, to ensure every opportunity is provided for the student athlete to pursue their goals.  The General Manager and Academic Advisor make periodic calls to the high schools to monitor a player's progress and attendance, and standards must be maintained to remain eligible to play. All H.S. aged players are required to continue with their studies whether they attend a local H.S. or continue their education through an on-line NCAA Credit Program.

The Jackals offer the following to their players:

•Career and Personal Planning.

•Career Preparation for College Courses.

•Peer tutors assigned to  players if needed.

•SAT exam preparation through the local H.S the player is attending.

The Jackals Organization communicates with NCAA Div. I and III Universities and Colleges on a daily basis to ensure that any student/athlete has a chance to obtain a Scholarship. Not just Athletically but Academically as well. The Del. Thunder actively promotes all players to the numerous leagues (NCAA, CIAU and Pro) so that they can achieve their educational goals, as well as athletic.

Education from the H.S. to the College level is a major component of the Thunders program and we are committed to providing you the opportunity to obtain the best possible education and to prepare you for post secondary education. Whether your goal is to attain a NCAA Scholarship at the Div. I or III level, we will be actively marketing you as a student athelete to all NCAA Universities and Colleges.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

An SAT is a benchmark which determines how suitable a prospective student is for a first year College or University program. It must be written and passed in order to become eligible for NCAA competition. The exam includes six academic disciplines, three verbal and three math sections, and will take approximately three hours to complete.

The Jackals Organization helps our players with all aspects of the SAT examination. All of the players are made aware of the  available dates of the examination. The Thunder  will make arrangements and assist a player through the H.S. to make sure they are prepared and have studied the correct booklet to take the S.A.T.
