PHILADELPHIA  JACKALS
       TESTIMONIALS
"I recommend any player that is honestly looking to take their hockey career to the collegiate and pro level, to look into the Jackals. I have known Jim Simmons for many years and he has shown absolute dedication to the game we all love and moves players to the next level".

"I have seen the Jackals Organization first hand and they have a fabulous facility and much to offer to a player. They travel as we do in the Pros, by sleeper bus, also have a first class dressing room and full lined staff".

"The Jackals proved to move players onto the Pro Level right from their organization by sending Milan Maslonka to the Pro 'AA' level in 2006-07, Jon Smarsh Pro in 2008-09 and Kody Martin in 2009-10".

"Having Jimi Simmons as my team scout and as an assistant coach in Richmond in the Pros, he has become more than coaching staff to me, but a close friend that I know and vouch for in the Hockey Wolrd. If your son is thinking of moving onto a class act organization, regardless of the "Title Wars" in Jr. Hockey in the States, I highly recommend you to the Philadelphia Jackals".

"I would recommend any Junior Hockey Player looking to get the right direction for college or pro hockey as Jim Simmons' players are exactly what he states they are on paper and truly cares about seeing his Players move on to the next level".-Joe BUrcar, Head Coach, Finlandia University

Lions Add Goalie to Men’s Hockey Roster - August 13, 2007
The Finlandia University men’s hockey team has received a commitment from Garrett Lee of Burnaby, British Columbia to attend and play for the Lions beginning the fall semester of the 2007 season, Head Men’s Hockey Coach Joe Burcar announced today.

Lee, 5'9", a goalie, transfers to Finlandia from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia. He’ll study criminal justice at Finlandia.

Most recently Lee competed in Junior 'A' hockey for the Richmond Sockeyes of the PIJHL and the Delaware Thunder of the AEHL. Delaware Thunder Head Coach Jim Simmons comments that Lee is “a well-rounded goalie in all facets and that, while still young, will only improve as time goes on in the game.”

Coach Simmons also commends Garrett on his character and demeanor as an athlete. He says, “We know he will be a major asset to their (Finlandia’s) organization and will be a prominent student, as well".

“We are very pleased to have a player like Garrett Lee. His development the last few years playing junior hockey has prepared him for the college game,” Coach Burcar comments. “Garrett is a very focused and talented athlete. He’ll bring confidence, determination, and great character to our hockey program".
"Jimi has proven to be dominant in his scouting and recruitment of players from the Jr. up to the Pro ranks. For a scout to be with three different Pro Hockey Teams this year in 2007-08, proved to me that he is legit and knowing what to look for in ALL players on and off the ice. Knowing him from the Major Jr. and Jr. days of playing and his time in the NHL, I know he would be an asset and any player looking to move on to the next level and be truthfully guided should definaltey talk to Jimi and check his program out".

-Stan Drulia, GM/Head Coach-Port Huron Ice Hawks, IHL and Former NHL Player

"I would recommend any young player at the Junior  Level to Play for the Jackals Organization. Their reputation is nothing but an A+ at Cortland. Jimi Simmons has sent many good players to Division III and my own players to the Professional Level after they have graduated".

"The Jackals truly see to it that their Players move on to NCAA Hockey."

"I have known Jimi Simmons to show nothing but Character as a Player-Consultant in the Pros and have commended him on the awareness he has shown to make sure his players are in good hands. He has always gone that extra mile to put forth his effort for not just his players, but his place in the Hockey World".

"I would expect that the Jackals Organization will have the same Character in that all of their players will be in good hands and will have every effort made to make sure these Players go to an NCAA Institution".

Don MacAdam-FormerG.M./Head Coach of the Dayton Bombers
  Former NHL Assistant Coach-Detroit Redwings
"I have known Jimi Simmons for 6 years and have had the pleasure of having him not just be our Team Scout, but share the bench as an Assistant Coach this season with the Richmond Riverdogs (2005-06)".

"I feel the key to Jimi's success in the game at the Pro Level and Hockey in general is his character. He truly cares about his players  and is not interested in taking our money as most Player/Agents do. He
has represented me for four years and never did I pay him any money  nor did the subject ever come up, just the matters of making sure my Pro  Career was always a success and that any problems or matters I had were diligently resolved in his care".

"Jimi had the opportunity to take the Head Coaching position this 2005-06  Season in Richmond and declined, but was still a vital part of the organization when I became Head Coach, just as I know he will do with the Thunder Program, his experience and reputation is by far recognized by myself and many others in the Professional and Jr. levels".

I would recommend any young player with true desires to play Jr. Hockey to play in this organization. The difference the Thunder and  any other Jr. Program in the USA is that they will make sure you can  get to where you need to be and that is most important.

"The Jackals are a First Class Organization. With the background of the Jackals Staff, I'm sure we will see many of these players in the NCAA as many of our Players fill the NCAA Division I and III Rosters from the CJHL in Canada".

"If any player or parent has any questions on this Program, I would be happy to recommend any Player to the Jackals. It was a pleasure working with Jimi Simmons as our North American Scout in our organization and brought much to the table for our players and their future in the game".

-Jason Clark-Former Head Coach of the Ottawa Jr. A Senators Ice Hockey Team in the CJHL in Canada.

"The Jackals prove to move their players on to the Major Jr. and College level or hockey. Moving Ryan Jasinksy to the Victoriaville Tigers of the QMJHL and one player to the Pros, this is all in their first year of playing Jr. 'A' Hockey and first year teams".

"Credibility is very vital for the success of any organization, player and coach. Having just signed Jim Simmons as our Head Scout and from the references shown and players retained, it was a win-win sitation for us to bring him into the organization".

"I recommend any play and parent to contact me regarding the Jackals and their Pro run facility, as they give 110% to their players and aspire to see them move on as this level of hockey is for the kids and not the owners making money or winning championships. The winning is when they move a player to the next level, as their Alumni just in their first season that have moved on this year, 2007-08 is impressive".

-Rick Allain, Forer Head Coach, Jacksonville Barracudas, SPHL and Former Pro Player
"I have had Jimi Simmons as my assisant and video coach for the last three years and I have seen the hard dedication and passion he puts into his work. I can only similate that the same goes for the Jr. 'A' Jackals and would recommend any young athlete that is looking to move up to the next level to take a sincere look at this organization.

"They have the contacts and credibility to move players, as part of Jimi Simmons' job is corresponding with the NCAA Colleges as our Scout for players signings, so these NCAA Schools already know who he is and his legitimacy in the business".

"I have had the pleasure of knowing Jimi Simmons for the last three years and have scene the way he truly looks out after his players, especially when we have some of the players from his Junior team that are looking to go Pro that come up and fill in for a few games when we have injured players".

"He always takes the time out during practice to talk and work on drills or techniques to improve our game. With the committment I have seen at our level here, I know his Junior Program is the same".

"I would recommend any player looking to move up to the next level to play for the Philadelphia Jackals".

-Chaz Johnson, Player, ECHL Elmira Jackals
"I can speak from first hand knowledge that Coach Simmons does what he says. He stated he was going to try and move me up to the ECHL while he was the interim Head Coach in West Michigan in 2009-10 and he did just that".

"I was able to play a few games in the ECHL with the Toledo Wallege and it was a great experience and I saw what I needed to do to improve and step up my game".

"Even after playing in the EJHL Jr. League, I was told all the promises but still ended up at an ACHA Club College team at the Towsen University. The real truth is if you have the skill, he will make sure you get noticed and go to the next level".

"I would recommend any young player going to juniors to play for the Jackals as I am a true example that Coach Simmons does help and move players on to the next level".

"I have nothing but positive things to say about Coach Simmons and the honest and truthful advice and guidance he has given me has paid off. When I graduated from SUNY-Oswego, NCAA Div. III, the following year I attended a Pro Rookie Camp in Elmira, NY. I was lacking some some details in my game, but right at the line where I could make it. The following few months was hard work, but it paid off and I made it all the way through main camp in the ECHL. Later Coach Simmons kept me positive and then landed me a job with the West Michigan Blizzard".

"He is a man of his word and I recommend any player looking to play Jr. Hockey to give him or the Jackals a call as the end result will be that of a positive one".
